Cape Byron Kayaks - Thar She Blows!
It is that time of year again. The humpback whales are migrating from Hervey Bay, Qld. and cruising thru Byron Bay. Some days we even get closer to them than this! They come so close to us that you can hear them exhale.....whoooosh! Seeing the whales up close is something I will never forget. Amazing. They are huge. Forty feet long and about forty tons of lovely animal. You should see how gracefully they move. Sometimes they even wave at us with their fluke. And when they breach........WOW what a huge splash! I have never seen anything like it. (-:
